This is a plain description of what happens to your data when you visit this website. It is short, because the site does very little with it.

What this site collects

Charities.care is a static website. This site has no forms, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, it sets no cookies, and it adds no tracking beyond the server logs described below. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, so this site loads nothing from other companies. We do not build profiles of visitors or try to work out who you are.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront) and sits behind Cloudflare. Like any website, these services handle each request you make. Cloudflare processes requests on their way to the site. CloudFront keeps standard access logs, which record things like the time of the request, the page asked for and your IP address. We keep these logs for 30 days and then delete them. We collect nothing else ourselves. Cloudflare processes requests under its own privacy policy.

Links to other sites

Stories link to charities' own websites, donation pages and social media posts. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

If you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it to reply, and we do not share it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if what the site does changes. The date at the top shows the last change.
